Welcome to Wonderlust — A Space for Stories, Reflection, and Curiosity
Hi, I’m Pam — a nurse, writer, and lifelong wonderer based in Houston, Texas. Wonderlust is my creative corner on the internet, a personal blog about travel, reflection, language, and the beauty found in everyday moments.
What began as a simple stress outlet slowly grew into something deeper: a place to pause, process, and reconnect with writing. Here, you’ll find stories from my travels, reflections on slow living, and observations about the small things that make life meaningful.
Why Wonderlust?
It’s spelled wonderlust — not wanderlust — and that’s intentional.
While travel is part of this space, Wonderlust is just as much about curiosity and noticing: what I observe along the way, how experiences shape me, and what everyday moments reveal when we slow down enough to pay attention. It’s a blend of wonder and wanderlust — exploration, both outward and inward.
Writing, Language, and Connection
I’ve been writing on and off for more than a decade. Like many, I stepped away when work and adult life took over, only to return years later after burnout reminded me how much I missed it. Writing didn’t come easily at first, but it brought clarity, comfort, and meaning back into my life — and Wonderlust became my digital journal.

Alongside writing and nursing, I also teach English online through Preply, working mainly with adults and professionals who want practical, confidence-based communication for work, exams, or everyday life. Teaching feels like a natural extension of my love for language, learning, and connecting across cultures.
